‘It’s about the idea of austerity.’- Antonio Berardi.
This collection is simply to die for, There are so many aspects of it that make it so strong. The silhouettes are beautifully crafted to create a modern feminine look. The pattern cutting itself is very striking as the outerwear has such detailed shape. The architecturally inspired collection pushes the angular silhouette forward with origami-esque connotations.
The colour pallet has been kept very minimal, creating a very monochromatic look with dark greys, blacks and blues. Each outfit has a very gradient inspired colour scheme. Where we can see the slight alteration between colours.
The fabrics have been kept very broad with textured garments combined with light feminine tules. These really emphasise the architectural inspiration of Oscar Niemeyer’s 60’s civic buildings.
The overall idea of this collection really expresses modern elegance in subtle detail, sculpturally satisfying.
